Costa del Sol Golf Courses Near to Torrequebrada

Often nicknamed the Costa del Golf, the Costa del Sol region
with it's mild climate is a golfer's paradise with over 40
golf courses. More than 25 of these courses are within a 30
minute drive of Torrequebrada, making it an ideal base for
a Costa del Sol golfing holiday, with winter golf holidays
particularly popular as the nights draw in at home.
Remember as with Torrequebrada
golf most golf courses on the Costa del Sol require you
to bring your handicap certificate with you. If you are new
to the game or want to improve your game whilst on your Costa
del Sol golf holiday most of the Costa del Sol golf clubs
offers courses and individual golf lessons for adults and
children.

Alhaurin Golf and Country Club

Designed by Severiano Ballestros there are 2 18-hole courses
and a 9 hole course, par 72 at Alhaurin Golf and Country Club.
With some 45 different holes in total this is a superb place
to visit from Torrequebrada for part of your Spanish golfing
holiday.
There are numerous other sporting facilitles including a
swimming pool, riding centre and tennis courts for those members
of your holiday party that don't fancy a golf holiday.
Alhaurin Golf and Country Club is located inland, about 17km
from the apartment.

Cabopino Golf Marbella

Cabopino Golf Marbella opened in the spring of 2001. Located
opposite the small port of Cabopino between Marbella and Fuengirola
the 18 hole, par 71 course is suitable for golfers of all
levels.

The course has plenty of lakes and covers undulating terrain
with beautiful views over the coastline and the surrounding
forests.
Cabopino is also one of only a handful of Spanish golf clubs
which is authorised to custom fit Titleist and Cobra golf
clubs so you can buy made to measure golf clubs.

Guadalhorce Club de Golf

Guadalhorce Club de Golf is located 8km west of Malaga. It
has a 18-hole par 72 course and a 9-hole course, par 3. The
club house is a manor house and like Alhaurin there are plenty
of other sports facilities available to keep the non-golfers
happy.

Mijas Golf
|
|
There are 2 golf courses at Mijas back to back, both of
which were designed by the famous golf architect Robert Trent
Jones. The first course, Los Lagos features wide fairways,
large raised greens and lots of water hazards and bunkers
and is virtually flat except at the 18th hole.
The second course, Los Olivos is almost the exact opposite
to Los Lagos. It is shorter, narrower and has less water features
but more trees and is more undulating.
Mijas Golf is about 10km from the apartment in Torrequebrada.

La Quinta Golf and Country Club

The La Quinta Golf Course has 27 holes in total, which can
either be played all in one or as a separate 18 and a 9. The
course is located a few kilometres outside San Pedro Alcantara
and offers views of the coastline around Marbella and the
local mountains.

The course was designed by Antonio García Garrido and
Manuel Piñero and is a very challenging course that
requires a high level of accuracy and skill to navigate the
many hazards on the course. The golf school at La Quinta is
run by Manuel Piñero. The facilities in the club house
are widely regarded as some of the best in the region.
